    These are the settings I changed from factory after initial reset on the YL620-A 110V VFD to run a 1.5kw spindle using the BlackBox 0-10v to control spindle speed via openbuilds control software.

    factory reset P00.13 = 10

    Cycle power and change the following settings:

    P00.00 = 400 ; Main Frequency
    P00.01 = 1 ; Start Stop Source: 1=External
    P00.03 = 1 ; Stop Mode: 1=Coasting Stop
    P00.04 = 400 ; VFD Highest output frequency
    P00.05 = 400 ; VFD Maximum Voltage Output Frequency
    P00.06 = 110 ; VFD Highest output Voltage
    P00.07 = 140; VFD Middle Frequency
    P00.08 = 35 ; VFD:Middle Voltage
    P00.09 = 120 ; VFD Minimum Frequency
    P00.10 = 30 ; VFD Minimum Voltage
    P00.11 = 110 ; not sure
    P00.16 = 1 ; 1= REV(X6) Determine direction:Open Yes FWD,Shut Yes REV;FWD(X5)Start command:FWD Stop,REV Boot
    P01.04 = 110 ; Overcurrent Setup
    P01.16 = 100 ; Direct start Initial frequency(Improve start Torque)
    P02.00 = 105; When speed up torque will increased
    P02.01 = 100; Deceleration time - Torque Boost
    P03.08 = 120; Panel potentiometer, frequency given of lower limit
    P03.09 = 400; Panel potentiometer, frequency given of Upper limit
    P03.12 = 30 ; Analog lnput 1 frequency given lower limit
    P03.13 = 400 Analog lnput 1 frequency given upper limit;
    P04.11 = 1 ; Stopping Mode: 1=Coasting stop
    P06.00 = 0 ; Acceleration Time
    P06.01 = 8 ; Accel.Time 1
    P06.02 = 8 ; Decel. Time 1
    P07.00 = 400 ; Frequency 1
    P07.08 = 3 ; Frequency source selection 1 (3=Analog Input.:P03.10~P03.13)
    P11.01 = 2 ; Output Voltage (V)
    P11.02 = 7 ; Output Current (A)
    P11.03 = 400 ; Output Frequency (Hz)
    P12.00 = 7 ; Rated Motor Current
    P12.01 = 110 ; Rated Motor Voltage
    P12.03 = 5 ; Motor no-load current
    P12.05 = 14 ; Converter rated current(A)
    P12.06 = 110 ; Converter rated Voltage(V)

    I’ve been running these settings for 6 months with no issues. Spindle only runs about 10 degrees warmer than ambient, even after running for hours.

    The following is a link to settings for 2.2kw 220v vfd, however, I have not verified these settings. Test at own risk.

    Vfd YL620-a initial setup

    they do discuss one setting that I can’t find any info on. It’s P11.01. I have mine set to 2 since I think it’s motor horsepower (1.5kw = 2hp).

    This is so helpful thank you for putting in the work. All the videos and threads didn't relate to this set up.

    I’m glad to help. I know exactly what you mean. I had searched so many resources to get it right. I’m putting parts together for a xyz plate and linear rail upgrade with a 2.2kw spindle. I’m sure you could give me some helpful info on your spindle once you get it going. I will say that when you go to command the spindle to run for the first time and it runs, it’s very satisfying!

    :thumbsup:

    Hello All,
    I ordered the YL620-A with 1.5k spindle to go with my BlackBox, can your parameters be suitable?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

    thanks for the answer, my spindle is powered by 220v, is that okay?

    As long as you follow the link in the o.p.

    just compare the settings that I listed to the settings from the link.

    I have parts arriving to fully upgrade my workbee (plates, linear rails, tingle tension system,and 2.2kw 220v spindle). Once i complete the upgrade, I can verify the settings that change from 110v to 220v. But that may not be until July.

    Hello All,

    YL620-A VFD 220V and Spindle 1.5kw 400Hz 8A 220V

    I connect exactly as on the photos of DxN32, but when I send the command M3 S1000 or others, I have no change on the volmeter at the exit of the blackbox (OpenBuilds® Documentation /blackbox/#335-0-10v.html) I tried with the jumper on M3 / M5 and without the jumper.

    Psu connected and powered on? BlackBox needs the 24v input to generate the 0-10v output

    Will output 10v IF $30 is set to 1000. If not send S**** where ****=value of $30
    Refer to the Grbl wiki

    Remove the relay jumper or move it to M8/9 - else it will click like crazy during PWM settings.

    Is it normal that when I test the output of the BB (0-10v) I only get 4.8v?

    Depends on
    - grbl settings ($30,31)
    - what command you sent
    - did you calibrate the output yet
    - measure without VFD wired in - if vfd causes voltage drop there is an issue with the VFD

    Depends on
    - grbl settings ($30,31) -------------------- $30 = 1000rpm $31 = 0rpm
    - what command you sent ---------------------M3 S1000
    - did you calibrate the output yet---------------------------Yes 10v now
    - measure without VFD wired in - if vfd causes voltage drop there is an issue with the VFD

    Now works with the VFD not wired and wired, for the BlackBox the problem is solved Thanks for the calibration info,
    I still have to find out why the M3 S1000 command does not start the spindle.

    Refer to your VFD manual, might be named something else. DCM usually = DC Ground. FOR usually = Forward Enable (but each vendor names them a little differently)

    Refer to post 3 in this thread YL620-A VFD Settings

    Then should just be case of parameters. Either work through the manual, and examples above (top of this thread) or ask your VFD vendor for advice

    now I can hear the click of the relay when I turn on (Tool On) and (Tool Off) of Openbuilds Control, but the spindle does not spin, I will find :)

    Relay isn't used with VFD. Move the Relay jumper off M3/5 for VFD else intermediate PWM (s-values) will make the relay wear out as it chatters according to the PWM setting.

    Refer OpenBuilds BlackBox 4X Documentation

    Thank you so much

    I modified some parameters in the VFD and now I can control everything from Openbuilds Control (perfect) I just have to find the right setting for the speed of the spindle, because in aspire vectric I have to put on the 500 rpm tool to have 12000 rpm for example, it must be a multilicator to modify.
