XL vs Double gantry plate for 3.5" 9.5 lb router mounting on C beam

    I am trying to mount a 3.5" 9.5" router on stable gantry plate. the standard 80x80mm plate wobbles too much even with the eccentrics adjusted. What do you recommend the XL plate which is wider or the double plate which is taller to better stabalize my router as it moves up and down the 200mm c beam I have?
    I cannot use the plate on the cbeam because of the machine design either.
