Update Driver Error

Please update your instance of CONTROL to 1.0.257 from Release v1.0.257 · OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-CONTROL or OpenBuilds Software - FREE Software for CNC Control: OpenBuilds CONTROL and OpenBuilds CAM, which comes with updated SSL certificates (Valid till 14 Feb 2020) - with the updated certificates, CAM will be able to see CONTROL again (needs valid certificates to make a secure connection between the web-based CAM, and the locally installed CONTROL).

You can ignore the integration with OpenBuilds CAM (formerly known as OpenBuilds Machine Driver) and just download the GCODE manually with the Save GCODE button next to Generate Gcode

Well, without an update how would you get the fixes for bugs, new features, and updated SSL certificates This isnt caused by an Update, this is caused by SSL certificates that expire every 90 days - just time to do them thats all! (;

Updates almost never cause things to break - we do proper testing! If it does (has happened twice since the first release) , it gets pulled as soon as the first few users report an issue - update rollout is not done uncontrolled

And if you really hate a particular upgrade you are always free do go and grab an older version from Releases · OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-CONTROL - we have all the old ones available for you - but as you can see, depending on the issue, older would not help. In this case, you need the Newest one!

 

1.0.253 was the last public release. 254-257 was internal

But yes, you need to update regularly, as mentioned above, the latest version has all the newest certificates, newer features and latest bugfixes.
