I am finished building my CNC, I have cut a couple of sample pieces now and been able to home and move around without issue. I have a Win 10 machine, running OB Control software and a BlackBox. i am going to be doing some photo engravings and needed a flat surface. After I'm connected to the machine, I click on the flattening wizard and fill out the parameters as soon as I hit proceed it does nothing and then after a minute or two the dialog box goes away and no other info acknowledging anything.

i've tried to use it without being connected and then tried connected and its the same.

    any pearls of wisdom ?

    thank you one and all

    Tim H

what exact parameters did you enter?

did you see any Gcode appear in the 3D display?

What messages did you see in the 'serial console'?

Agreed, sounds like either a forgotten or invalid number input.

You don't have a value filled into Stepover - the grayed out 40 is an example showing you what to typically enter

well that was it....but that's got to be the biggest time waster, been revisiting this for a week, maybe don't put it in there or something =, because it doesn't look grayed out on my screen

    thanks
