Stepper motor slipping - oblong holes

My Mini Mill suddenly started making oblong holes instead of round. I checked the x axis and the stepper motor has no holding strength with power on. Both my y axis and z axis cannot be turned by hand with power on. The x axis can be turned.

Is this an indication that my stepper motor is slipping and has gone bad?

 

Never mind. I found that the motor coupling broke.
