    machine is Openbuilds lead 1010
used the Openbuilds wizard setup for spoilboard surfacing previously and in this procedure
I had run a couple of spoilboard surfacing jobs very recently with no problem but found I had to tram my X axis, after completing that task I homed my machine, adjusted the Z to zero, all axis showed 0.00

    Good vacuum system on,
grounded wire inside 2 inch vacuum hose
Dewalt router taking 2MM cut, vacuum cleaning up nicely
job was 1/3 through the job and it just quit - no axis movement
I have interface connected with pass through to computer
Immediately I looked at computer screen and it was blank, nothing on screen
    My interface indicated the following:
Error 22, feed rate has not yet been set or is undefined
    (G1 X13.5 Y369.0000 Z-2)
we?? socket disconnected op control probably quit or crashed

I'm thinking my computer went into a sleep mode andjust shut the job down ????
    Any thoughts ??

Pass through mode is really more for quick debug sessions or machine setup. Copy gcode to USB and run off Interface, or plug USB cable into BlackBox directly

2mm for surfacing is huge! all you need is to take any high spots out, Typical is 0.5mm..
Make sure to set your power management to best performance and sleep "never", and look into "USB Selective suspend setting".
    Cheers

Do still note my older reply though, regardless of the USB setting (good to have it Disabled, but still) :

Peter I did take notice of your comment regarding the pass through with the interface, just forgot to take notice and give thanks. I disconnected the interface and plugged the USB cord into the blackbox.

Today I ran the wizards surfacing program again but ended up with the same problem of disconnecting the blackbox and it appears to be a computer error again.
Yesterday I reprogrammed my computer and tested my settings and the USB selective suspend settings are both disabled.
The software showed it was no longer connected to blackbox

I homed my lead 1010, set the bit on the spoilboard, reset the Z to zero and ran the program, went all the way through the X any parameters and on its return to front of machine to do the long Y pass, the X gantry twisted off by about 4 inches. Had to hit the panic OFF switch to kill everything.
I reset the gantry, homed it again , set the bit to cut another .5MM, zeroed the Z, ran the wizard resurfacing.
after 14 minutes the router and machine quits on its own.
    G code readout as follows:
    14:10.00 shut down -port error
get over lapped result - unknown error code 31
    disconnect port info: port closed

I should have paid more attention to that EMI factor. I will now invest in some ferrite cores
    Thank you
