Check out our latest board, the open source smoothieboard!
What are the voltage input range and stepper output limits (Amps) on this board?
With the large delta build under way I have been on the fence between Duet wifi or a Smoothieboard. Being able to grab it right from the OB parts store along with other misc. pieces I need made that a easy decision. Excellent timing.
The Smoothieboard allows a voltage input range of 12-24V according to the wiki. V1.1 uses the Allergo A5984 drivers I believe they have a peak output of up to 2A.
Just be mindful that if you are running external drivers that you are going to have to configure it to open drain as the board can only source 3.3V to external drivers.
Sorry but I am a little confused.
Is this the "BAD BOY" that the naming competition was centred around ?
It seems to fit the specs that was initially announced, if it is, I am off to purchase one and who was the competition winner ?
I didnt see any announcement....
This is not the same controller as the contest. News on that coming soon.
OK cool.... I will hold off then.
