I need to inquire about setting the safe Z distance above material at start of the gcode.
    - is it a setting already set or modfied ?

    - When I checked the hello world video, the machine started at point and then started to move ahead to do the whole job.

    - To make the inquiry brief, my question is: how to make sure that Z will go up first safe distance when moving from zero work coord. to the start point of the job ?

the current operation is that Z moves directly above the material without safe distance.

    Used resources:
    - Contoller card: MKS DLC V2.1
    - Firmware version: v1.1h (2019-08-25) hex file
    - Software: Openbuilds control v1.0.370

What CAM application are you using?

Most CAMs add it, some allow you to configure it per-toolpath, or in stock setup. More advanced CAMs use Machine Coordinates (Fusion etc)

Unfortunately not one we are particularly knowledgable on, so you may want to refer back to the CAM vendor or their documentation. Or online search rhinocam setting z clearance height - Google Search

Will edit the detail into your original thread title for you, see if anyone else might have worked with it
