I just ordered a Lead 1515. Before it gets here I am trying to get my posts setup and figure out the software, so I can hit the ground running, as they say....

I have a question about the macro ability of the OB control software. If you write a macro, can you call said macro from within the gcode program? I know, on machine tools, you can assign a G or M code to a custom macro. Was wondering if there was a similar option with the OB control software.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jerry

Checkout docs:software:overview [OpenBuilds Documentation] (note the menu in sidebar for more info)

Not at this time, Macro panel in CONTROL is used by buttons onscreen / keyboard shortcuts only. We avoid interferring with running gcode

Inserting macros into g-code can often by handled by the Post in your CAM (insert the actual gcode, not just a placeholder m/gcode)
