Gyday guys the black box said it has plasma, am using the box on my router. great stuff , no problems there? question is how does one use this to create a project?? i am redesigning one of my Cnc to a Plasma cutter , which has the u beaut Black box. too.(2) i dont know what section to post to , i get lost in this maze. lloyd
OK guys on the last post.i have used these machines Plasma cutters manually for years. ok, now, too use one , you have to ground it, (touch the plate), lift up a bit press the air trigger ,then the arc appears, cutting begins , u do the rest, manually. easy as. what program do we use to make the blackbox work?? with G code. Sheetcam with a Grbl Post or cam.openbuilds.com (Use the Settings page to add IHS code (Initial Height Sensing) to handle the Air pierce. That said, Air piercing is not always reliable (as the cheap inverters cannot tell whether it actually has pierced) - replace the tips with drag-type tips (they can pierce while pressed to the metal) , and then in the IHS code or Sheetcam POST Probe and zero out (I use G38.2 to probe with a floating head and G10 L10 to zero afterwards) M3 S1000 to fire the plasma G4 Pxxx to delay in place to do the pierce (This sample is shown in Settings page of OpenBuilds CAM)
