So I'm building a fairly large corexy printer right now with a bed size of 23" x 19 ". I have a combination of 12mm smooth rods and ballscrews for the linear motion and I WANTED to use a single belt and a Nema 23 motor in a triangle shape to turn the ballscrews. The problem is that I need a GT2 belt that is around 1650mm to fit. I have a 1660 belt on order from China (ordered on May 23rd but still nothing), so in the interim I am testing more complicated solutions. I'm using 2 - 850mm belts and a smaller 450 belt (plus some axles) to do the same job. Surprisingly, it works quite well and is easy to tension. I pushed down on the bed as hard as I could while I commanded it to move upwards and I couldn't get the motor to stall so I guess that's a success?
