Hi there, I have an open builds lead 1010 cnc. It’s been a head ache from the start but now I’m having issues related to my com 3 port. I get this message when it disconnects quite often. Usually after a carve PORT ERROR : OPENING COM3 : ACCESS DENIED This issue started when I had a carve co file sent to me. I had sent it to someone to do some editing on it then this issue started. Sometimes it will finish the job and sometimes not, but then it disconnects right after. I have eliminated any EMI , deleted openbuilds and carve co to start fresh, turned off any power saving settings on my computer and downloaded move mouse. Any ideas are greatly appreciated
Access Denied comes from your Operating System. Usually port shutdown due to conflicting applications, outdated drivers, bad hardware (usb hub or ports not working correctly) or EMI. It's not gcode / carveco / CONTROL related, thats a level lower down (outside CONTROL). The computer is telling CONTROL we can't have access to the port any more. Easiest test, try a different computer to run the machine with. That will help you determine for sure where its coming from.
