I am running the OpenBuilds Control software on the Centos Linux operating system.

    My machine is working well.

But when the machine is stationary for a few minutes, it gives a message about the port and disconnects.

Is there a setting to prevent this or any other advice?

It's not CONTROL related, its your OS shutting down USB ports to save power :)

Can't help you with the CentOS specifics of how to fix it, but in Windows, that's called USB Selective Suspend, and is part of the motherboard power management: See docs:blackbox:install-windows-selective-suspend [OpenBuilds Documentation] - Linux calls it USB Autosuspend - that should be enough for you to go from to look for how to disable USB sleep/power management under your linux distro too, for example centos usb autosuspend - Google Search
