So I am in the middle of putting together a workbee 750x1000 I bought this kit 2nd hand but the original owner never put it together. I have a black box it also came with a yl620 inverter and a 1.5 spindle. My question is if I was to use a dewalt 611 router instead of the spindle and inventor is there a way to control the on and off of the router besides physically turning it on and off by the switch?

Routers are much simpler to setup. Because of that, it's almost impossible to screw one up.

    Positives:
Quieter in both air and water cooled variants. Water is almost silent.
Better tooling selection due to the use of proper collets. (ER11-ER20)
Easy mounting as they are just larger brushless motors.
    More power relative to size.
    Capable of lower RPM operation.
Much longer life under the same conditions due to the use of bearings instead of bushings, being sealed, as well as being brushless.
Can operate under wet conditions (flood and mist).
Better tolerances due to lower runnout.

    Negatives:
Easy to burn due to inadequate cooling or incorrect VFD setup.
    Much heavier relative to size.
More expensive to replace if you screw up. $400-ish for a complete setup.

If you are working with woods and most plastics, a regular router will do the job just fine. If you can get away with the 1/4" and 1/8" (with adapter) tooling that most routers use, you'll be fine.

Setup your CAM to send M3S1000 where 1000 = $30 (full on)
