Finally got my workbee 1010 up and running. Building it was an experience. So glad I got BlackBox and xtension wires. Other than different color stepper wiring the ease of setup with OB control made it so much easier!

using mostly Aspire for designs and toolpaths. I would like to move up to fusion or something to put components together in CAD stage.

few things i have done/working on:

    Paradise Box in pine
    Paradise Box modified in oak
Currently working on Bluetooth speaker box in birch ply and corian.

    Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks to this forum and Openbuilds for the support, ideas, and contributions to the community.
(I remember seeing the openrail kickstarter years ago whilst trying to get my rickety homebrew mach 3 machine to move, I am so glad it has become what it is now)

Thanks for posting work achieved with your workbee, which is beautifuly executed and finished. The ratio of posts about building machines, to having problems with them, to making things with them rather leaves the (possibly) false impression that few ever get their machines productive!

    Those are beautiful projects!

Yeah, I agree. I like seeing projects. But this is also a very helpful customer service forum, and a lot of folks get on for help and then once they are up an running they leave us forever. Personally I love coming here to try and help because it is a pleasant escape from the political B.S. that most corners of the internet have sadly turned into. I also enjoy seeing the various projects. I seem to learn a lot of new stuff on this forum.

    Thank you guys.
Believe me. I have been all over the forum looking at builds, upgrades, issues, etc.
I felt i needed to dive in and see how this thing works before i worry about upgrades and chasing micrometers. (A rabbit hole i will surely go down eventually)
I end up doing a little more cleanup and finishing than planned but overall, parts i almost consider unacceptable and start over on, are light years beyond what i could do by hand.
