Hi folks! I've been 3D printing for about a year and a half. I've been wanting to upgrade my printer by making it larger. (300x300x330) After successfully doing many upgrades and increasing the build volume of my Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus from 200x200x110 to 200x200x330, I bought a 300x300 build plate and the rest of the hardware to do the job. I've been thinking about it for months and decided to dive in. I picked up a used frame assembly and got started. After showing some pics of my process to a users forum, a couple mentioned getting some 2020 extrusion and doing it that way. I hadn't even thought about that. One of them referred me here. This looks like a great place! I think I'm gonna pick up some 2040 and hardware and give it a shot. I think it'll be much easier and sturdier than modifying the original framework. Wish me luck! Take care.

Thanks, guys! This is where I'm at now. But I think I have a plan to use 2040 that will be much sturdier.
