I’m new to open builds and am considering building a belt and pinion rig based on the mini v gantry plate and 20x20 profile. I also want to wall mount the rig. Is this something that can be done ie there are parts available? I have two horizontal 20x20 which act as top and bottom rails and a vertical 20x60 running between them with the mini Vs at each end. I want to attached a 12v dc motor ( not a stepper) to the end of the 20x60 and using belt and pinion make the 20x60 move horizontally left and right along the 20x20. Does anyone know of a similar build? Any real problems?
