Hi, apologies if this is a dumb question...

So for many of the threaded connections in the OpenBuilds system the screw is going into a nyloc nut - therefore vibration induced loosening shouldn't be an issue.

BUT - what about when we're joining parts by screwing M5's into T-nuts of various types, and the sub-assembly which is being connected is subject to vibration? (ie it's getting moved around a lot) In this case is it a good idea to use locktite or similar on the fasteners that are being screwed into the T-nuts?

Just to be clear - I don't mean to keep the T-nuts in place where they are in the rail (use spring loaded T-nuts for that of course!), but rather to keep the M5 screw from coming loose out of the T-nut.

    Thanks for your advice!

Hi @Matt_Batt, loctite if you think that the part might be subject to a lot of vibration - but don't use the permanent variety!
Also, a general point on nylocs - especially the small sizes - don't grip after a few dismantlings/re-assembly.
