    Wow, total newbie here and Im trying to surface my spoil board.... I used the widget to start the job, unfortunately the z axis seems to want to just dig into the board. Its not running the "project" correctly and I have tried restarting everything. Im hoping this is a simple fix... All homing switches are working and I have cut other small projects without issues. Ive looked through the forums and havent found someone with a similar problem yet. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Please can you confirm that, when you jog;

    X +ve moves the tool to the right,
    Y +ve moves the tool to the back,
    Z +ve moves the tool up,
    You homed the machine,

    What controller set up do you have, if it's a blackbox did you upload a machine profile?

    Alex.

    Same question from me:
    1) machine profile loaded (So jogging 10mm moves 10mm?)

    and also more importantly:
    2) remembered to SetZero before starting job?

    So after I use the probe widget, set to zero? doesnt using the probe set your surface to zero? When looking at the Z axis in the control software it measured correctly after probing, but I probe with the dust shoe off... Ill then lift the z axis by an inch or so to reinstall the dust shoe, but maintaing the surface zero and then run the job

    Here's a coupke of videos of what it's doing. Hopefully it's just a widget error? The one with the dust boot I noticed it was bottoming out so I moved the router down... but in the one without the boot, you can see it's just going as far down as it can without moving and other axis

    The setting for the probe was set at 20mm instead of the actual 9mm it physically is. Problem solved. Thanks gents!
