I have a LEAD 1515 machine and wanted to add a rotary axis to it.

I'm using the blackbox x32, and I've been looking at https://a.co/d/fIK15qw

Is it as simple as mounting the rotary axis to the bed and connecting the motor to the blackbox?

Using Fusion 360 and openbuilds control.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm willing to change the controller or to look at another rotary axis than above.

Basically yes. Just convert the Y motors to parallel wiring on Y1, frees up Y2 that becomes A when you flash the 4-axes firmware from CONTROL
