Getting The White Screen of Death

I have a large Vcarve file, over 13mb, that fails to load. I remember reading in another post here that there was a switch under the Wizards and Tools tab that allowed you to turn the simulation off. I assume if I can turn it off that it will load OK. I went to the Wizards and Tools tab, and there is no joggle switch to turn off the simulation. Has that functionality been moved or has it been deleted? If it's been deleted what would be the next steps to get this to run?
