    I suspect a Potentiometer is busted on my OB Blackbox.
    reason i suspect, is it spins around completely without stopping, and the red fault light comes on anytime i plug in ANY stepper motor.

    I was wondering if anyone has had any luck in replacing these pots, and where to get them. Id rather not shell out for a whole new Blackbox, if this might be a simple fix.

    the numbers i see on the Pots are:
    3362
    S103
    819T0
    which of these are relevant in searching for a new Pot and what do they mean?

    should i worry about more being damaged than just the Pot?

    Do i have other options aside from replacing the Pot? im going to email OB and see if i can buy just the Pots, or just the 1 board that its soldered to, instead of a whole BlackBox at full price.

    Yes, then it has been stripped

    They mean:
    3362 = type/footprint
    103 = 10K

    It's a BOURNS 3362S-1-103LF - you can buy them from 3362S-1-103LF Bourns Inc. | Potentiometers, Variable Resistors | DigiKey

    Thanks very much, i've ordered these ones from amazon, as they'll arrive sooner for me, they look like they are the same.

    Hopefully this is the only problem with the board.

    You're correct, too bad i diddn't see that earlier.
    oh well i gave them a try anyways knowing the dial wouldn't be accessible through the normal hole. after soldering in place i was still getting a fault light. so im making the assumption there's another problem with the board.
    So im going to order another blackbox
