New to the world of cnc and recently finished the build on my workbee 1510. While running the surfacing wizard it gets about halfway through and throws error code 2 and alarm 9. Any suggestions? I’ve tried turning soft limits off and machine will travel fully while on or off. Thanks for the help

Alarm 2: G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safely retained. Alarm may be unlocked.

Means your Max Travel settings is less than the area you are trying to machine, and soft limits is enabled. Or you forgot to Home and thus the soft limits doesnt know exactly where they are.

    1) remember to home, and to Set Zero appropriately.
    2) check that your surfacing Job is setup to be less than Max Travel values
    3) you can disable soft limits too but NB reset the controller for the changes to take effect

Y travel is set at 1265 and it only goes about halfway. Homed everything and set zero at top of spoiler board set to cut at -.010. Same results with soft limits on or off.

Yeah but where did you setzero your XY?

Post your Grbl Settings output (send $$ on Serial Console, copy, paste)
And the gcode from Gcode Editor tab too

Also the Serial Log leading up to the alarm please
