    Hello,

I currently have a workbee 1500mmx1500mm with my router mounted in it but I would like to know if it could be feasible to adapt a laser cutter on it.
Ideally I would like to be able to cut MDF 18mm but if I could cut 9mm it will be already a good first step.
What about the security also is a protection cover really necessary or could it be avoided (it will be harder to create one for this machine size).
What about the cost also what should I expect?

    Regards,

    Benjamin

Not the best idea @Benjamin Vg - you really need at least 40 watt CO2 laser to do that, and mounting it on a workbee isn't really feasible. Screening of the laser beam is an essential requirement - you could lose your sight before you even realised there was a problem. Have a look through the laser section of the builds part of the forum to see what others have done.
    Alex.
