My motors are completely quiet/unresponsive. The controller seems to send/run commands, but there is no corresponding movement on the machine.

    - Wires secure/in correct positions according to https://docs.openbuilds.com/blackbox/img/322/1thumb.png
    - Controller software installed
    - Drivers installed
    - Grbl settings saved as per video
    - Flashing is successful when connected
    - $4=1/enabled

Tried on two separate PC's with Windows 10. I'm not sure what to look at next.

This is an OB MiniMill with only Openbuilds parts

Hi Cdii, make sure you are getting 24VDC to the BB, use a multi-meter to verify.
    couple things to consider
-PSU is left on 240V source instead of 120V for US for example.
-Power switch on the PSU and the BB is on.
-motor coils not identified properly, don't go by color alone as some manufactures are different than others
    Hope this helps
    Cheers
    Gary

Thank you for the advice Gary

    - The PSU to BB wire reads 24.23V on multimeter
    - PSU switch is set to 115V
    - Everything is Openbuilds parts, so Ive been relying on color alone so far. I dont know how to fully identify the wires.

That would result in rattling in one place or shaky movement, not no movement at all. So probably not this :)

    Check
    - Power input polarity correct? (if wired the wrong way round, BlackBox has polarity protection that keeps it safe, but it won't power on until the wiring is fixed)
    - Does the fan spin (If not board is not getting power, or a miswiring somewhere is putting PSU into protection mode. Test with just Blackbox and Power in that case to see if anything else wired to it is to blame)
    - Check the fuse next to the Power Input terminal

The LED behind the BlackBox Logo doesnt light up either correct?

Can you try giving the power switch a couple back and forths in case its not making good contact inside maybe?

    and then

Can I ask (last thing I hope) for pictures of the Muscle board top and bottom so we can see if its got any visible issues? (sorry you have to disassemble)

Correct, I haven’t seen that light come on at all. Flipping/jangling the switch didn’t seem to do anything.

No worries, here is the muscle board l
