Good Morning everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me out with an issue with my Blackbox 4x controller - Control won't start up as it shows an error 'No supported firmware detected' out of the blue!

** I've submitted a ticket to openbuilds but I'm not sure they have actually got it as I can't see any record of it anywhere and haven't received any email confirmation ** Sorry, I'm new to all this and may have done something wrong :)

    • I've tried a different computer - same error
    • Different usb cable - same error
    • Different software - UGS - controller not working
    • Tried flashing the firmware from Control - same error
    • I've stripped the controller of all the connections apart from the USB as advised by the Openbuilds instructions - same error.
    • Taken the cover off to see if there's any obvious damage - can't see any obvious issues.

I'm tearing my hair out here, I'm not very technically minded so I'm at a loss... any ideas folks?

    PS. I'm using a macbook.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

Store will reply to ticket logged via email. Check your spam folder too. Warranty issues (if still valid, that seems to be quite an old one) are handled by the store, not the forum.

It does seem like it's time for a new X32 though, symptoms do appear to be a dead one

Thanks for that Peter, much appreciated. I do hope to resurrect it from the dead :)

That would require SMD rework skills :) Not economical to repair - seems to have served you for many years.
