    Hello!

I am using GRBL Advanced, but the issue i have also happens on the vanilla version..

    source:
    Schildkroet/GRBL-Advanced

    Preset:
Rong Fu 45 class Clone CNC Conversion with closed loop stepper system
    GRBL on a STM32 Board
Candle2 and UGS, same issue, in Estlcam back on vanilla the same happened.
    Fusion360 grbl/BoXZY Postprocessor

Now the issue is as follows; every time when there is a direction change, i.e. when cutting a round pocket via helix and then adaptive clearing, the machine pauses for a fraction of a second, and does not smoothly goes in the other direction. Same goes for an outside contour. The load of the cutter releases consequentially and cases the cutter to flex back to it's natural position, thus engaging a bit of material on every far end of X and Y reverse. So i end up with 4 gauges in every part when cutting round things.

Is there a delay function that cases this or do i need to play with other settings, like junction deviation?
Or is the post processor in fusion360 doing the helix output wrong and should translate this to a Arch function?

I got a snippet of nc here which shows a helix at the beginning of the operation:

    G1 X-7.460 Y0.769 Z0.070 F333.3
    G1 X-7.488 Y0.425 Z0.064 F333.3
    G1 X-7.500 Y0.079 Z0.058 F333.3
    G1 X-7.495 Y-0.266 Z0.052 F333.3 <----- Pause occurs very briefly
    G1 X-7.475 Y-0.612 Z0.046 F333.3
    G1 X-7.439 Y-0.955 Z0.040 F333.3
    G1 X-7.387 Y-1.297 Z0.034 F333.3
    G1 X-7.319 Y-1.636 Z0.028 F333.3
    G1 X-7.236 Y-1.972 Z0.022 F333.3

    Inputs are much appreciated.
    Regards
    Roger

As its nothing 'standard', can I recommend asking here Schildkroet/GRBL-Advanced instead?
    Stock Grbl runs fine

Weird Post too... Why not use G2/3 for the Helix?

So try a different Post too

It happens also in the GRBL Standart, that is what i ment with "vanilla"

Which Postprocessor can be recommended for Fusion360 specific that uses G2/3?

    Edit:
Using the other GRBL Postprocessor of Fusion i get:

    G3 X7.087 Y-2.453 Z-0.311 I7.087 J-2.453 F333.3
    X-7.087 Y2.453 Z-0.723 I-7.087 J2.453
    X7.087 Y-2.453 Z-1.134 I7.087 J-2.453
    X-7.087 Y2.453 Z-1.545 I-7.087 J2.453
    X7.087 Y-2.453 Z-1.956 I7.087 J-2.453
    X7.5 Y0 Z-2 I-7.087 J2.453
    X-7.5 Y0 I-7.5 J0
    X7.5 Y0 I7.5 J0
    X5.5 Y0 I-1 J0
    G1 X5.477 Y-0.627 F600
    G2 X-2.065 Y-4.422 I-4.975 J0.496
    G1 X-2.324 Y-4.244
    X-2.386 Y-4.196
    X-2.447 Y-4.147
    G3 X-3.891 Y-6.064 I-0.722 J-0.958
    X-2.596 Y-6.159 I0.722 J0.958

I try this out and see what happens.

    Thanks, maybe it's just that
