    Hey Everyone,

I am in need of changing one if not two of my nut blocks on my Y-axis. And I saw that there is little price difference between the anti-backlash kind and the regular one in the parts store here. Is there some benefit to using the anti-backlash kind over the standard on the y-axis? Or does the presence of two blocks perform the same function?

    Thanks,

    Michael

Two blocks performs the same function - one presses against one side of the thread on the leadscrew and the other presses against the other side, so whichever direction the leadscrew turns it presses against a nut block. There is more delrin in contact with the leadscrew with two nut blocks than with a single anti-backlash nut.

Thank you, Alex. That is what I suspected but wanted confirmation. :)
