Waiting for our lead 1010 build and setting up custom software we are going to use.
The CNC will just be used for positioning and a guass meter probe will be in place of a spindle.
Gcode to position probe is pretty straight forward, but I would like to add a macro (in CONTROL) that sends SCPI commands to the fw bell 5180 meter while the CNC pauses at each location.
    :MEASure:FLUX?
I was thinking it would be easiest to do it this way (if possible).
The other option I'm looking at is using something like labview or even python and sending commands to the 2 devices from a custom program.

I don't have experience with SCPI so any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Most of my experience is with autolisp, VB, crystal reports and modifying gcode.

I think I will be using Labview, the 5180 meter has .vi and I found a GRPL labview project on the lava site. Combining these 2 driver libraries should work
