We need a bit more info - what is your full electronics setup? I know you have an Arduino, but what stepper drivers? What power supply? Have you checked the output voltage of the power supply? and the wiring and connections?
Do your stepper motors power up? - they would be extremely difficult to turn if powered and should get a bit warm (but not too hot to touch). Don't turn the stepper motors by hand while powered on or if they are connected to your controller - just enough to feel if they resist turning by hand.
Could be lots of things, but the above is a starting point (I'd check wiring - power OFF - for loose connections first).
    Alex.
