    I am building a Laser Engraver. I have Uno and CNC Shiel v3. I have NC Optical switches. I configured
    $5=1
    $21=1
    $22=1

    In config.h I have:
    #define HOMING_CYCLE_0 ((1<<X_AXIS)|(1<<Y_AXIS))

    My switches for X and Y work when tested.
    UGCS Platform shows ALARM:Z
    Will not perform HOMING

    Any help appreciated.

    You should have

    #define HOMING_CYCLE_0 (1<<X_AXIS)
    #define HOMING_CYCLE_1 (1<<Y_AXIS)

    as per gnea/grbl

    Thanks for the reply.
    It still shows that Z is in alarm ALARM:Z, but it does home now. First X, then Y.

    Grbl itself doesnt have that alarm: gnea/grbl

    It could be your host? Try OpenBuildsCONTROL (software.openbuilds.com) just to rule if its maybe UGS being weird?
