I'm running my new machine with my water cooled 1.5kw spindle & Huanyang VFD. Setting PD014 is acceleration & I'm currently at 8 seconds. I'd like to drop it down to about 5 seconds. Is that okay... not too fast, won't harm the spindle? And PD015 (deceleration) is at 10 seconds... is it also safe to drop it down some? If it matters, my water pump runs while the machine is on, so there's always water flowing before the spindle starts.
I have a couple of 1.5kw air cooled spindles on different machines, I run both the acceleration and deceleration at 5 seconds. I have looked for info on what settings are reasonable and have not found anything definitive. So... if it helps I have been running mine at 5 for at least a year and have had no problems.
