With this project you get three sizes of spoons; large, small and what I like to call "bottle" size because in can slide into the narrow necks of bottles to get out that last little bit. Each spoon is 14" long and the largest spoon is 2.25" wide.
Thanks to Chris Powell for the inspiration for this project.

This project is milled on two sides so it is very important to get your stock exactly 5.5" wide and your zero right on the corner so the sides match up. I used a marking gauge set for 3/8" to find my corner screw anchor points, drilled, countersunk and screwed into my spoil board. Doing it this way allows you to use boards that have a little twist.

Finish milling is done with a .013" overlap to give a finish with as little sanding as possible.

One of the modifications I made to the running of this project was to remove all the tabs at the ends of the spoons. With the cross grain these were problematic. I was able to develop some spoons with different function.

I found for general smoothing and shaping a 120 grit 2" flapper wheel worked well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MPX6RL6/ref=ox_sc_mini_detail?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ANSWGMCE3Q8AE

For finish sanding of the bowls of the spoons I found that these buffing puff balls worked well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075C72PGK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Would it be possible to get individual spoons with a pair of large tabs at each end, so that the workpiece can be mounted on 2 pins one at either end, so each spoon can be flipped for side two into exactly the same location each time. The tabs to be sawn off on the bandsaw and sanded. No other tabs desired/required. If you could supply just the files for the individual spoons, I could just block out the carve at each end to make the large tabs I am looking for.
Similar to this but with pins mounted directly on spoilboard

I'd love to have the vCarve files for these. Nice work!

Do you have the original .crv file? Thank you!

I used Carbide Create Pro for my CAD and V Carve for drawing the base spoon shapes. I can post the CCP files if you like.

I'm not familiar with the ccp file format. Can it be imported into Vcarve and be modified? I'd like to be able to tweek the shapes a bit.
