Beginner Minecraftesque Bookend

  • Machine Type:
    Other Machine
    Software:
    My brain.
    Machine Time:
    1.5 hours maybe, roughly.
    Bit or Laser Size:
9 inches tall, 4" wide, backplate 1 inch thick, bottom plate 3/8" thick, aluminum stacked "books" 1/2"x2x2, etc.... Used JB-weld to secure pieces, dust of clear coat to stick, 2nd good coat of clear to finish, circular stick on cloth pads on the bottom. Weighs 12 pounds.
    Feeds & Speeds:
An awesome saw guy never tells but let's just say, anything not as hard as the blade, I ran 13 foot Lenox blades at 1450-1500 pounds torque or beam strength, 310-320 feet speed and 2.0-2.5 inches per minute forward for aluminum, same beam strength all the time... 230 on nonhardened tool steel grades at 1.2 forward, 130 at 1.0 on D2 oil hardened. Using a Vertical 'V-18' Hydmech.... and you must touch and feel the machine breathing to really tune it in nice! I got 4,984 off on one blade, everything from 12 inch tall I-beams to 1.5 x 14 inches cold roll... I mean hundreds. It's mastery at that many cuts industrially:) k... buff bragging... all I did and would like to learn more from the best.
