This is the most practical project I have created so far and I have to say I use these coasters everyday!

I started off with a surfacing toolpath to ensure that my material was completely flat and I wanted my coasters to be .50" Thick. The humidity has been pretty bad as of late, so I did encounter some warp in the red oak I was using. The surfacing toolpath worked like a charm to make my material level again.

This is the finished surfacing toolpath.

Next I started my V-carving toolpath. I used a .50" 90 Degree V-Bit for this part of the project.

I absolutely love the BlackBox with the Ghost Case!

After finishing the V-carve toolpath, it was time to cut these beauties out!

I used a .25" End Mill for the profile cut because I couldn't find my .125" End Mill, so I did encounter some overlapping cuts because of the bit diameter, but the coasters still turned out great.

To Finish the project I sanded down the coasters and added a polyshade stain.

Hope you guys enjoyed the project! I've uploaded the files below so you can customize your own coasters. ;)
