The first cut out of my machine, a set of templates for hand building a guitar. Why make templates when I could make the guitar? Good point :)

I challenged myself to a some complications, but they turned out great:
1st, make all parts from a single MDF sheet. This was more of a Fusion challenge, but learning to work with components was key.
2nd there are four operations: trace, bore and two 2d pocket operations.
3rd, multiple operations means changing bits mid-job, wich wasn't that complex nor difficult really.

OpenBuildsCONTROL is awesome. I won't stop repeating this.

Attached pics shows a render out of Fusion 360, and the MDF cut fresh of the machine. cba1ae57-2a57-431e-b321-8e113c21b21c.PNG instagram-sg-template.png 04-Gibson-SG-off-the-cnc.jpg

not to ask a silly question, but if you have a CNC, why do you need router templates? You need 3D files and then you can carve one :)

Not silly question at all! Some things area easier and faster done on a handheld router with proper templates. Also, cheaper and faster to make and sell templates than to make and finish complete instruments

looks like a SG, Gibson. pretty neat. It's the wood that gives most of the sound I think

Great job on this @sergiomajluf I had not thought of making templates before but I like the idea because it while you still get the guitar to the right scaling you get that hand work involved for the main portion of the build which I think brings out the love :)
Thanks for the kind words and for sharing.
p.s. If your able to share the files that would be great!

I'd rather wait until I'm confident the templates produce an appropiate guitar hehehe. I'd like to check tolerances first
