Is it possible to use digital calipers to calibrate CNC router? I tried to calibrate my CNC router using a ruler but I can't see exactly where the bit is on the ruler. If so, how can I do this?

You should be able to, but it s a much shorter distance and my experience harder to read and touchier. I have found a V bit and a ruler to be the easiest and most accurate. The next build I will probably use one of my cheap 10 degree 1/8" super pointy PCB milling v bits.

in my experience that is too short for calibration except on Z.
use the longest ruler that will fit, and move the head along it the longest distance you can manage.
use a flashlight and magnifying glass to see the tool tip and markings.
use a pointed tip like an engraving bit if you have one. if not use a 2 flute carbide bit and look down one flute for the measurement, by looking down the flute you can avoid parallax errors.

I also used a camera to take a picture as straight on as possible so I could zoom in and see it better, but that was before I got glasses.

Yes, definitely invest in a long ruler. For the Lead, a 2'6" long ruler would do the job.

I have an "iGaging ABSOLUTE ORIGIN 0-12" Digital Electronic Caliper" and like it. It is not what you asked about, but I ave not had an issue with the brand or the product I purchased. That being said, I like this and a V-bit for calibration, especially the price.
