I just finished building my workbee 1010, and im confused on where to mount the spoilboard. does it just lay in there? or do i have to get more L brackets and hardware?
Up to you, really. The simplest way would be to double-sided tape it down, but personally I'd say that's too flexible. After that, the easiest is to use some angle brackets and screw the board from below. And one solution is to drill holes to where your support extrusions' T-tracks are, and use T-nuts and bolt the board down from above. This is the route I took. To reduce the risk of cutting into a screw head, I counterbored the holes and used the same kind of screws used to assemble the machine, as they have low heads. This leaves me a nice 6mm or so of clearance in the case I cut into my spoilerboard, before I reach a depth where I might hit one.
This is how mine is done... Note that the Y motors and lead-screws are removed to allow the frame to completely stand on its end.
