Hey, love the build! After everything would you just buy something then upgrade it instead? I have gone down a rabbit hole of analysis. I was looking at the
Tronxy X5ST-500-2E because I want a large build volume. But there are so many upgrades to make it work well I was looking at building from scratch.
I also was looking at making this dual extruders and possibly upgrade to the ability to laser cut/ engrave or when cnc milling. Those require a much stiffer frame which leads me back to building it myself.

Anyways if you have a second I would appreciate your insight about whether it was worry building from scratch on the end.

    Thanks

I have three machines. CraftBot 3 IDEX, Ender 5 and my custom TITANXY machine. its difficult to do a custom build if you only have one machine.I enjoy designing and printing and testing. I enjoy the tinkering process and also problem solving. Going with a ready made machine like the craftbot 3 is really nice. and generally problem free. Building custom can be stressful when things dont go well and can take a long time waiting for parts to arrive when you need to change something.

Thank you for the fast reply. Looks like I will go with a kit for the first one :) unfortunately I need something with about 500mm capacity in each direction so the price is not fun.
I love problem solving and tinkering, but I am in the middle of a really big project right now.
Did you sell yours yet? Could it be adapted to my size?
