I bought a spindle in December I get hard errors. And the software x y and z will say nuf . Home it and go back to 0 0 0
All fine then turn on spindle and get hard errors. Doesnt do it all the time just randomly. I tryed to get it gone for an hour restart program, computer and machine Now it been running for 2 hours. The only cable close are the on z motor 5 inches from cable

I have a 800w spindle and shielded cable

4ch opto-isolator module. Can I use this with the black box?

Opto wont mitigate the EMI (the spindle spits out EMI that travels through the air and interferes with the electronics around it)

Spend some time googling "how to mitigate EMI from VFD spindles" - there are lots of info on how to add Ferrites, space VFD away from the rest, how to do Star Grounding, how to properly wire that shielded cable (a wrongly wired shielded cable acts as an antenna making things worse)

Or get rid of spindle, and go back to the simple, trusted old router

Well I added a computer cooler on mine and didnt tighten the cord to the spindle down and just like that no problems Yes I did recheck the shielding but it was just a simple thing like always Just learn to walk away and start over checking things
