Hello I recently put my Lead 1010 CNC together and during the homing process I am seeing that my Y Axis is delayed on the right side slightly. I am thinking maybe my wheels are too tight on the on the right side? Anyone have any suggestions of what could be going on? I have done some test cuts and once the program starts it doesn't seem to be a really an issue but I want to make my cuts as accurate as possible.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thank you,

    Eric

Binding lead screws can also be issue. Make sure the screw is in proper alignment and add a bit of dry silicone spray lubricant if you have some.

I am very new at all of this, how do I check and make sure the screw is in proper alignment? Also, do you spay the whole screw?

Simple you just check to see if it's straight. Beyond visual sighting, you can also turn the screw slowly to see if wavers in the channel as it rotates. (Note, have the carriage near one end.) If you can see a noticeable hump in the screw as you rotate it just flex it with your fingers, pulling back toward the center of the channel to straighten. Rotate some more and repeat flexing as needed. Another area where there can be problems if the nut block is tightened with a slight skew. Loosen the nut block attachment screws slightly and see if that frees up motion a bit. If so, then slowly and carefully tighten the screws back making sure tightening them does not pull the block out of alignment. As for the spray, yes do the whole screw. On mine I just tucked paper towels in the channel behind the screw and then sprayed, rotation 180 just to make sure I got both sides. Doesn't take much but the difference can be night and day.
