I have an OX CNC with a CNC XPRO3. The spindle I’m using is a Chinese 400W one with a BLDC Controller type HX-WS400. The spindle speed is currently controlled via a pot supplied with the controller. I’m not too bothered about controlling the spindle speed via the software, but would like to implement some form RPM display. Don’t know if I could use the PWM connections on the controller to achieve this. Can anyone help please?

I think you are asking for a display you can mount on the machine that shows RPM. There are BLDC controllers with a built in tach but I don't suppose you want to buy a new controller. Maybe the simplest approach for you is a cheap contactless tachometer. Note that isn't the best or cheapest example, just the first from my search results.

It's quite possible to build one for a BLDC with an arduino or some such if you are moderately adept with electronics and programming. Here's one example.
