    Evening all

I have just moved my CNC into a new shed and finally got it plugged in this morning. GRBL Panel crashed on me before I had chance to run some code. When I re-ran GRBL Panel it appears that the settings have been erased. I plugged my old V2 board in to see if it was a problem with GRBL Panel, but these settings came over when I plugged the board in.
So it appears that the settings have been erased from my Xpro V3. Any ideas how I reinstall them?

    Thanks in advance.

    Steve

    Thanks Peter
I will have a look tomorrow. I wasnt able to access the $-Commands as this section was blank. I will download an new version of GRBL Panel also.

Still nothing. the Settings panel is blank so doesnt give me the option to update/amend the $-Commands. I am connected, the motors clunked when i connected, I have even tried to execute some code, but nothing works.

    Try with OpenBuilds CONTROL (software.openbuilds.com)
It has a better log to tell us if grbl is even alive

It lets me connect, but not access any settings through OpenBuilds Control.

    Very interesting!
Right, so lets try first clearing the EEPROM:
On the Serial terminal, send "$RST=*" to clear the EEPROM (gnea/grbl ) if there is corruption it could prevent it from running correctly

It doesnt let me send that. If i press return as opposed to send the command disappears but nothing else happens

So firmware on that board hangs as soon as it boots.

The following step may brick it so it won't even connect, but that said, looks like its already damaged (chip) so may be last option:
Open Grbl Flashing Wizard from Wizards and Tools in CONTROL
Select xPro, and correct COM port. Flash. Check the serial log, see if flashing is successful. If not, try at least once more. If it fails, then that chip is fried (short, EMI, or similar)

Thanks Peter, I have tried a few times now. Keeps failing. The board is less than a year old too. I will see if Ooznest can do anything, other than that looks like another new board.
    Thanks again
