    Are there suggested feed speed for 1/8" bits on 1/2" plywood? I think the feed speed was too fast and broke a bit.

    I typically shoot for about 1800mm/min and 1/8"+ doc at a pass at about 20k rpm.
    Adjust from there, get lots of 2 flute 1/8" bits :)
    Cheers

    There's plywood... And plywood, and shutterply. They all look the same, but differs jn quality a lot! Good furniture grade pine, cuts easily. C grade and Shutterply, is filled with tonnes of resin between the layers as the layers are basically rejects held together with resin. Resin is really hard, and youe feed should match that hard bits, not the soft sapwood bits. It break when it hits a resin pocket. (;

    My feed speed is 60 inches/min. I'll try 30 inches/min.

    30ipm is slow, 60 is quicker (but still less than 1800mm/min), but Depth Of Cut is just as important of a factor.

    Deep of cut is 3mm (1/8"). Plywood is about 12mm thick (1/2").

    Ideally you want depth of cut to not exceed half of tool diameter. (thin long endmills in particular, with a 1/4 inch endmill, you have more rigidity and better chip clearance, can do more aggressive cuts)
    Also, how many flutes does yours have?

    2 spiral flutes on both 1/8" and 1/4" bits with 1/4" shanks.
