    Why the reduced footprint and nema 17's? What are you planing to use this machine for?

    I have limited space in my shop, so I would rather have 10cm extra cutting depth and witdh, than deadspace around the CNC. And there is plenty of space inside the envelope. I also think it could be worth considering adapting the endplates to accomodate this position ?

    I thought that if a Nema23 is strong enough for the belt driven workbee, then something less powerfull should work on the lead screw based, due to the gearing. It was also what I had lying around from my MPCNC, and they are much cheaper :)

    I will soon know if they are too weak or slow with the extra belt gear.
