Hey, as of the last update I honestly haven't done much on it at all. Since I had it working, I ended up switching gears into production mode and that's what I've been doing for the past 3 months or so. The laser is working great and it's going strong.

However, I've been wanting to finish paneling this sucker so that I can take some decent pictures and mark the build as complete so my aim is to have it done by this weekend or next weekend at the latest if this heat wave hasn't killed me by then. I went ahead and finally finished putting the panels surrounding the laser tube but ran out of hardware so I wasn't able to finish the bottom storage area of the laser. The hardware should get here tomorrow, so that should let me finish both left and right sides of the machine, but I'm unsure on what to do at the front. Ideally, I want to use the very bottom of the machine for random storage but that would require me to make doors and I hadn't thought that far up ahead when I first started designing this and it's going to require me to get crafty, so that hopefully takes me only a few days to figure out.

    Thanks for checking in.

Here's how the laser looks as of right now with the lights on and off and lid up and down.

Wow. Looks amazing. You have inspired me to build a laser.
Any chance you can share your sketchup file of the unit please so I can get some sizes etc.

Hey Pedro, let me see if I can find the listing. I bought them off of eBay from CLOUDRAY. They have a website you can order from but their shipping is pretty expensive and sometimes you can find cheaper shipping on eBay for the same item from the same company.

That’s correct. It was the mechanical set. I still had to come up with clever ways to mount them but they worked nicely.

I love this build!! What do all the buttons do (5 front, 3 sides)? Do you also have any wiring schematics?

The buttons on the front are left to right for the exhaust, water pump, air assist, red dot, and then the lights. I now have 4 buttons on the side and they are to turn on the machine, to turn the laser power on. The other two are to either turn the Y-axis on or the A-axis (rotary).
Unfortunately I don't have a wiring schematic, I just did (and figured out) things as I went along.

Amazing build, I've started my own build and now I'm at the point on installing the panels. Wanted to ask if you have a wiring plan so i check if i missed any components or any improvements i can make.

Hello Goodnight! your work is very beautiful! i have an 80w machine with 90x60 desktop. the machine was made of MDF by a manufacturer here in Brazil. however the machine has several problems Alignment resulting from the fact that it is in MDF, not counting the weight, something around 300kg. Considering this I'm thinking about changing the structure of the maqui and I found this build. My idea is to reuse all machine components with the exception of the rails as they need to upgrade and increase the working area to something around 110x60cm. If u or any other participant that made this build, Could you tell me if it's stable for recording, which is what I do most?

Hey Luis. What do you mean for recording? As far as stability the machine is solid as can be, nothing shakes and rattles. I have mounted cameras on it and ran jobs and the footage comes out good with no vibrations or anything like that. I’ve been using. This laser every day since I built it and I can honestly say that I have had 0 issues.
