I have a CBeam XL and I'm getting missed steps on my Y axis, which is dual motor. I use a TinyG and have it dialed in, but I tried to up the velocity, feed rate, and jerk and it caused the missed steps. Would that be too low current? I have room to increase it and try again, just want the machine to move faster. A few suggested binding as an issue...
What speeds does anyone else get from theirs? I don't know what the motors are capable of, and this was nearly no load - I was running a drag bit.

Consider upgrading to external drivers like DQ542MA Stepper Motor Driver ? The onboard drivers on the TinyG might suffer with the current requirements of the NEMA23s, especially dual ones (2 x 2.8A max)

I'll look into it. I was hoping to avoid building a whole new control system. The TinyG has 4 axis outputs which is why I picked it. ☹️
