Feasability of motion control camera rig with C-Beam

    I'm trying to design a motion control DSLR rig with C-Beam, here's a crude drawing :

    The rig will be screwed to the ceiling, allowing a camera to move in all axis. The plate/box containing the camera is not designed yet.

    I'm worried about the max weight that can be carried by the Z axis, do you think a nema 23 rotating a threaded rod can work properly ? I'm not trying to reach high speeds, a few cm/s is enough.

    Check this build out. It covers much of the base mechanics I believe.
