Grbl 1.1f limit switch question

    Hi all

    I’m after a bit of advice regarding limit switches, I’ve previously experimented with this on the Arduino Uno but gave up but now want to get back to it.


    I still have the pull up resistors in place so all is good there, but I’m trying to find out the easiest way to implement the limit switches and should I use N/O or N/C loops

    Any advice here would be very greatful

    NC, I believe. That way if a wire gets pulled or breaks it will trip.

    It's really your decision on the matter.

    NO = In the event that you have a wire/connection go bad the system will not trip, however, the next time you home, the broken axis will run wild and crash the cnc.

    NC = In the event that you have a wire/connection go bad the system will trip and the job will stop whether you wanted that or not.
