I've spent hours upon hours reading posts and builds here on OpenBuilds this past week.

Thank you all for your amazing contributions! I've learned sooooo much from posts here.

I am not well equipped to work with metal, so I am looking at getting a cnc kit that's all cut and tapped already.

I like the idea of the OX, but I want lead screws instead of belts, as well as C-beam construction. So I am looking at kits like the Workbee.

I figure I need around 750mm/750mm or 750mm/1000mm to do the largest pieces I want to do at this time.

My biggest concern is cutting depth. It seems that the Workbee can cut at most 47mm deep (with method 2 spoiler board mounting).

I recognize that the z axis cutting depth is one of the hardest things to increase on these types of mills. I don't want or need 100mm of cutting depth, but I do think I need somewhere between 53mm - 60mm of cutting depth.

I don't "plan" to mill aluminum, but I do plan to mill some very hard woods (purple heart, maybe ebony on rare occasions).
